Ok we have a new favourite……. I know I know all my artwork are all my favourites, but this composition is so perfect.

It’s only possible because two photographers took a chance on me and were generous enough to say yes to me using their photographs as reference.

I saw Ghislain’s first (Ghislain Yung Photography) the male cockatoo and knew he needed a partner, someone complimentary as he is - let’s face it - the star feature with that tail display. Being a male yellow tailed black cockatoo his beak is much darker than hers and he has pink skin around his eye, so fascinating.

Now David from Incidental Naturalist allowed me to use his female photograph.
She is so delicately perched a little higher than him !!! Haha you know I’m a feminist at heart!!! Her eye/s are loving and her under body is the perfect yin to his yang !!
