Let me introduce you to
“Vintage Bushells”
“Vintage Bushells”
A beautiful bunch of
Chamelaucium Uncinatum - Geraldton Wax wildflowers in a 1932 Bushells Blue Label tin.
I chose this particular label as it was the celebration of the opening of Sydney Harbour Bridge - 19 March, 1932.
Bushells has been part of Aussie life for 125 years, bringing people together for a good chat and a great cuppa is their passion. Did you know that for over 15 years now. Australia-wide, volunteers known as Driver Revivers generously give their time to provide a safe place to stop, with free cups of Bushells tea and biscuits to combat driver fatigue and help Australians reach their destination safely. I never knew that they have been donating all those years to this cause.
Geraldton wax comes from Western Australia. It's mainly pink or white flowers have small, stiff petals, which give them the description of 'wax' flowers. The flowers ooze nectar and are highly attractive to bees and pollinating insects, particularly on a warm late winter or spring day. They can grow 4m high and are actually called a shrub. But i think they are way too pretty to be called a simple "shrub".
