Let me introduce you to
“Uncle Toby's Oats with various varieties of Kangaroo Paw”
“Uncle Toby's Oats with various varieties of Kangaroo Paw”
My beautiful mum whom is 80yrs old, eats warmed up oats every day of her life.
This artwork is for you mum xxx
Uncle Tobys, a well-known Australian brand began with two brothers, Leonard & George Parsons, who started manufacturing in Melbourne in 1861, initially under the name Parsons Bros. The company later evolved in Uncle Tobys, and in 1893, their oats were first introduced to the market by Clifford Love and Co. in Sydney.
Unfortunately, Uncle Tobys was last Australian-owned in 1992 when it was acquired by the New Zealand-based Goodman Fielder Wattie. While the brand is still associated with Australia, particularly for its local production and sourcing of oats, it has been under the ownership of multinational corporations for several decades.
I wanted to capture the stunning colours Australia has on offer in native Kangaroo Paw.
Created with gouache paints.
Also available as a card.
