" Sydney Harbour "

It's an incredible feeling to have a vision in your head and then to be able to have the self discipline, to keep at it till it comes out!  I worked on this piece for many weeks. I started off with my usual technique of sketching everything out solidly, then i added watercolour to the Australian marine animals. Leaving the background to the end. My mistake doing this. I should of painted the background first, then the animals. I found it super tricky getting the watercolour paint to gradually blend from light to dark with the animals already painted to go around.
I went over things a million times, I changed things a million and I added many many things. Making the process so much longer. BUT hey, I got there in the end and i am super proud.

Now what can you see? All things that can be found in Australian waters.
Yes i know some are tropical and impossible to be seen together but that's not what i was going for. I wanted an artwork of all things Australian Sea life, showcasing them in no other than the iconic setting of our beloved Sydney Harbour. Complete with a ferry (heading to Taronga Zoo) the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
