Narloo the Numbat Card

Sadly, numbats have disappeared 90% from their former range. This is because their habitat has been cleared for farms and houses, fire patterns have changed, and predators like foxes and feral cats are a big danger. Numbats are shy and live alone. Once they find a home area, they usually stay there for life. They are amazing eaters – gobbling up to 20,000 termites every day with their long sticky tongue!
Numbats are also special because they are the only marsupial awake and active during the day.

When I created Narloo, I almost stopped with just the log and numbat, but something felt missing. I imagined her in the warm sunset colours of Western Australia – where numbats live and where the sunsets are truly magical. I think Narloo suits her perfectly, and I’m so happy with how she turned out. Hope you love her too!
