Lyrebird Card

The Superb Lyrebird is an expert mimic and one of the worlds largest songbirds.
They live in south-eastern Australian and southern Tasmania. Sounds can include anything heard in the bird's surroundings, such as other birds, chainsaws, car engines and even a dog barking! The male lyrebird mates and lives with multiple females, whilst the female lyrebird mates only with a single male.
Adult males have the ornate tail.
Created with lead pencil, watercolours and gouache paints.
