Welcome to my fierce Frill Neck Lizard.
Thank goodness that’s finished ...... I must of drawn hundreds of tiny scales.
Let me introduce you to the first reptile I have ever drawn !!!
I absolutely loved creating the patterns in the frill and making it looked rippled.
Fun Facts time!!
The colour of their body depends on their habitat so they can blend into the environment around them.
When the Frill Neck is faced with danger, it lifts its front legs (to appear bigger), unfolds its frill and opens it’s big ugly mouth. They may even hiss or spit whilst standing up on their hind legs.
They can even run away upright like this !!!!!!
Hahahaha running on 2 legs !!!! 🤣
Luckily Frill Neck Lizard numbers are still high, so they are not on any endangered list. Baby lizards are able to use their frill and to fend for themselves from the moment of birth 😮
