Australian Pelicans are one of the largest flying birds in the world. They also have the longest bills of any living bird. With the ability to remain in the air for over 24hrs as they use the wind to glide, rather than using energy on flapping their wings. They are found in both saltwater and freshwater, basically anywhere there is lots of fish!!!! I particularly loved drawing him. So used so many tiny pencil dots and flicks for the feathers. I left a lot of my original pencil drawing on his head as I feel I completely captured his fluffiness without adding anymore colour.
"What if I fall? Oh. but my darling, What if you FLY?"
